During decoration, unexpected problems often arise, making people unable to laugh or cry after decoration. Renovation plans are often delayed or have to be changed due to these issues, which can actually be avoided in advance. Sudden problems may arise in home decoration, often due to inadequate decoration plans. Therefore, I will share some of the home decoration situations that are prone to problems, so that everyone can try to avoid making mistakes in these aspects when formulating plans.
1: Furniture cannot fit properly
Measuring dimensions and calculating length and width are essential tasks when purchasing furniture. Measure the amount of space in your home and calculate the maximum size of furniture that can be placed in each space in advance. When purchasing furniture, try to match the size of the furniture with the space it occupies. Simply put, it means designing the furniture size diagram in advance, as shown in the following figure.
When buying furniture (such as a bed), measure the length and width, and then compare the dimensions on the furniture size chart to easily avoid problems.
2: Style mismatch
The issue of home decoration style has some needs in terms of artistic aesthetics and design sense. If the decoration and matching of furniture are too casual, there will be a situation where the style does not match. For example, Chinese style hard furnishings combined with European style leather sofas appear out of place and will not look good.
To avoid this issue, the most important thing is to have a pre prepared design rendering with excellent visual effects. The style of hard decoration, furniture, and decoration is similar to that of the rendering, which can basically avoid the problem of style mismatch. Even if there are no conditions to create a renderings, you can still find some reference renderings online, and try to make a decision on the furniture you plan to purchase when decorating. Make a mental draft and have a plan for the matching style you want to create in the future. It is best to learn as much common sense about style matching as possible, so that you are foolproof and won't make mistakes.
3: The socket is blocked
When planning the layout, not only should the plane be designed, but the room should be three-dimensional, and the furniture decoration at the vertical height should also be designed. If you rashly purchase furniture without proper layout, you may find that you have bought a good TV cabinet, but it happens to be at the same height as the socket, blocking the socket.
Regarding the issue of blocked sockets, we can actually plan to avoid it through the CAD three-dimensional drawing in the design plan. The CAD three-dimensional drawing will show the size of furniture on the wall, the position of switches and sockets, and other dimensions. When we buy furniture, we have this drawing to avoid the problem of blocked sockets.
4: Lighting
In terms of lighting, it is also easy to see a light that is too bright to the eye, but too dim in the corner position. Where should the lights be installed, how can the light not be dazzling or too dim, and what kind of color temperature should be used to create a warm atmosphere with the soft decoration?
This aspect is quite complex. On the one hand, daytime lighting needs to take into account both lighting and natural light, while nighttime lighting is another consideration. Therefore, it is best to find a more professional designer to design the lighting part. If you want to design it yourself, it's best to leave more room for replacing the light tubes, so that it's easier to make changes after problems arise.
5: Material purchase
The quality of decoration materials is very important, and the use of low-quality materials can lead to problems such as increased formaldehyde content. Therefore, in home decoration materials, it is absolutely not advisable to be careless. However, in terms of how to purchase materials, due to differences in merchants, layouts, locations, etc., it is not possible to provide very detailed suggestions. It can only be said that when purchasing materials, try not to be greedy for small gains. Using materials that are too cheap will definitely lead to a decrease in quality.
The above renovation rollovers can be completely avoided if there is a design plan! When decorating, it's best to have a design plan before starting. Don't blindly try, after all, the trial and error cost of decoration is really too high!
